A Spilling of Dreams

Sometimes dreams, especially dreams of children and other deeply imaginative persons spill over into something so vivid that it’s hard to believe these are not true.  This is a play on that idea.

Home, Sweet, Home - Listening To You Dream

A Spilling of Dreams
by Michael Romani

They say nothing kills a good fantasy
Quite like eye opening bits of reality
The we struggle for it in vanity
Perhaps it would be best to check our sanity

Some things stand of their own free will
Against the darkness, strong and still
For a hundred years we might stand strong
As neither in Heaven nor Hell do we belong

Silence walks the sturdy halls alone
In a house built of strong wood and stone
A child cries, screaming in fright
As things hiding under beds fill the night

Sometimes dreams spill over into the light
And only daddies and mommies can make it right
Big dreams require being held close and tight
And loving hugs and kisses to make things right
