I attended a short form poetry workshop tonight and as usual burned off two poems. This time it was in a traditional Welsh form called the rhupunt. Obviously, not my best poems but these are them:

Four Line Rhupunt Blues
by Michael Romani
You know I’ll miss
Gonna quit this
Can’t resist this
Wicked game played
Blues in my bones
Sticks in their zones
Nothing atones
Like blues well played

and
Music of Wales
by Michael Romani
Music of Wales
Sonorous tales
Ringing of bells
Hunting the wren
We harmonize
Telling no lies
Giving our tries
Giving all when
Locked in tower
Clock strikes the hour
Tyrant’s power
Fails him then
Congregation
Fascination
Pleases the nation
Now as back then
Sweet melody
Means much to me
In harmony
Land would be free
