Although much might be said in the negative with respect to rote thinking, knowledge of facts, historical and otherwise is necessary for placing things in their proper context. Currently, in today’s political climate there is an immense amount of near ceaseless speculation and a wealth of opinion being floated as though it is some sort of the equivalent of critical thinking. It is not.
It is heresy, speculation and unmerited opinion driven by political agenda. This is no way to govern our nation. Nor is it anything remotely close to the vigilance required to maintain our republic. The sooner we come to grips with this baselessness, the sooner we can right our course.
