An Unfolding of Origami

Oriagiami and Ubume Japanese Horror Event - Hand Drawn Lamp

An Unfolding of Origami
by Michael Romani

The warmth of memories
Is all the magic we need
To see us through our temerities
And plant our familial seed
Love is the greatest magic
Both happy and semi-tragic
It moves us to act and create
To make our own ways
Instead of believing it's all fate
And seeing us through our busy days
Daring to reach forward and believe
Moving past those things that deceive
Finding our own paths to love
Origami shaped into a pale doves
Are released into our mental skies
An ancient tale wrapped in thin disguise
About how love is the one thing
And what we most truly need to receive
In all of our soul searching and believing
To move beyond all our tragic grieving
Knowing that our memories will never leave
