...And Still She Waits...
by Michael Romani
Struck up conversation
A flashed smile's invitation
Struck a pose as something curious
Dazzled with beauty and mysterious
Drawn toward bedroom's intimacy
With a sparkled hint of fancy
She whispers hints of being coy
Not her strongest suit to employ

Not one to suffer rejection well
She offers her heart mending tale
Hoping that he might change his mind
Offering vision to man willfully blind

Forever beauty lingers
As her card slips from her fingers
A look of lust in an exchanged glance
Is no replacement for lost romance
.. and still she waits..
