“To disarm the people… was the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” – George Mason
Some might see the sense of the above quote but still wonder who George Mason is. Hs name seems at times to be a less known one if known at all. Yet, among the Founding Fathers of our republic he was and is rightfully known as the Father of the Bill of Rights.

This Virginia planter also wrote significant parts of the Fairfax Resolves of 1774; the Virginia Declaration of Rights of 1776; the Objections to This Constitution of Government (1787). He was one of three persons at the Constitutional Convention who did not sign as approving of our Constitution.
