Rules

Outer Island - Little Red School House of Stories

Rules
by Michael Romani

Rules
Rules are for schools
And useful tools
But not the end
Just a means
The unique depends
On a willingness to see
The very possibility
That played out scenes
Don't always need to be repeated
Like leftovers to be reheated
There is a pioneering energy
That brings about its synergy
All of the old standards to measure by
Sometimes need their undoing reply
Oh my!
How this will startles the fools
Who think it's only the rules
Which we live by
    ...Sometimes dreamers win
       ...And breakthroughs begin
