Always chasing
Street and racing
Kindred spirits of technology
Attainable bits of luxury

Point of acceleration
Stuck forward toward destination
Full throttle challenge given
In this life of the driven

Holistic sense of the interior
Within a streamlined exterior
Exciting times to live in
Grabbing the lead from the world again

Detroit is that All-American
Source that says yes when nobody can
To drive or not to drive
It's what it means to be alive

If you can buy a better car, buy it
But, I really would not try it
Whispered words of encouragement
Keeps the boy from discouragement

A wide open piece of canvas
Left open for ingenious problem solving
And becomes a deeply sketched canvas
That is ever changing; evolving

Coming far maybe a little too quick
It is there in that moment that we pick
To dream the dreams that only we can
Dashing down the road All-American
