With the computer problems I was having today now past, I still have a little time to make my writing goals. Without further excuse, I offer up a poem based on todays sermon. Today’s sermon was based on 1 Chron 16:1-35.

Offering of Heart by Michael Romani With the breath of God I am still alive With His loving touch, I still survive Watching and looking out on the world Wondering at all the brilliance of that pearl The pearl of wisdom so seldom displayed Words of honor are missing in what is prayed Between all the griping and grumbles Somewhere between our moral stumbles We too often forget why we are gathered here The beginning of wisdom is found in Godly fear We need to put away our troubles for awhile Living in the fullness of God's sacred smile Again, we find we need to bring our worship by design Quieting our souls in reverence to worship the Devine Standing up to say that special message of something A song of grace and worship that we can join in and sing Invoking God's many names to raise Him up in praise This is the purpose we should live for in all of our days Entering the gates in a spirit of praise and thanksgiving This is where worship begins in the holy lives we're living Before we enter the temple, we must wear the attitude Realizing our souls' great need to live in loving gratitude Seeking the Lord and living this as our lives continually Resting in His protective love for all of lasting eternity An offering of heart lived holy as a living sacrifice Doing our better part to live our best and suffice Giving our all and using our gifts for the kingdom Living in accord with the Lord; taking on what comes Doing our very best to succeed in passing life's test Living in the Lord's breath until we come to our final rest (c) June 25, 2017 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
