From this, came this poem:
Undivided Heart by Michael Romani Each day taken in its persistence Fighting hard against my resistance To live each day in His ways To be my blessed and not to stray Putting aside the daily rituals Putting on God as living habitual I am my offering to His word Living it so fast that it's blurred Closing off all the distractions Like so many pleasant infractions Bringing my heart fully into focus Ready to receive what's best for us Giving my Father, His day due Living the praise and not the pew Shining in my undivided heart And in this, doing my part Shooting straight from my hip In my moment to moment worship In a spirit of loving gratitude Dressed up in my best attitude Every thought that we think Provides that sacred link To every bit that we feel Sinking in as the real deal A choice of great consequence Putting our trust in Providence Remembering God's faithfulness Centering on professing this Facing all with an undivided heart Filling in the blanks that is my part Trusting the Lord in His Word Removing all doubt that's occurred There's no time for procrastination Walking past the transgressions Giving credit for all that's been done By giving sacrifice of His only Son It's here every day before our eyes And it's ours to simply recognize That it's time to be reflective Putting on the right perspective One might open up to a story Another be lost within the glory There in God's almighty hands Is all we live and need understand All at work and always around us Is the evidence on which we focus From this we choose what to say Putting things in their best way My undivided heart is given choice To decide on what we will voice Telling others of what God has done Placing praise and worship on His Son (c) July 2, 2017 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
