“I have always been among those who believed that the greatest freedom of speech was the greatest safety, because if a man is a fool, the best thing to do is to encourage him to advertise the fact by speaking.” -Woodrow T. Wilson

Best that we keep this in mind when discussing such things as matters of settled science and any number of other propositions currently put out there by the currents of repressive tolerance. The circumstances of the modern age demand not request a free market of ideas in which freedom of thought and speech are allowed free rein. Anyone who has taken to the streets to demand that only their view has a right to be heard has completely missed the point of America. Worse, regardless of how strong they believe they are correct, they have forgotten their own humanity. To err is human, right? Couple that with the proposition that each person’s rights end where another’s begins and I think its is easily seen just how much folly is at practice.
