First Principles: A Leader Inspires Others

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.”  –  John Quincy Adams

Leadership does not depend on title.  If you inspire confidence and trust in others, in effect, you are leading.   It’s a choice really.  Regardless of title, those who disparage and hinder growth in others are not leading.  You can choose to do that.  I mean, if that is what you want to do.  Or, you can help others dream more, learn, grow, do and become.  The choice is up to you.

Your choices are the threads of your life’s tapestry.  It’s how you effect others.  That impact is felt like a ripple whatever the size of the pond.  And that, my friends, is a first principle, that I think is most helpful to ingrain in our hearts and souls.
