Born For Love

We are born with a tender need
Through kindness to be freed
A need for love, to take and give
This is the way we come to live

Dressed to the nines in our very best
Taking of fear and putting on love
No obstacle to great to test
As on Earth as in Heaven above

Nothing so difficult that we can't do
In that spirit of love that is so true
We can conquer all that comes our way
Claiming victory each and every day

No discouragement we cannot pass
Learning to love our best and surpass
Loving all by the faith we are given
His love being the instrument we live in

Even if the world sees us as fools
We love as we're loved being His tools
Born to love and not surrender to fear
To be the smile where there was a tear

We must let our love lift and newly arise
Looking at the world with the Spirit's eyes
Regardless of all the tests we endure
We must know that God's love is the cure

Regardless of words of prosecution
We lived embodied in this sacred institution
Overcoming all with the love we shine
The promised gift God made yours and mine

Filled with this Spirit of splendid power
We do indeed claim victory in every hour
And all this all we do softly tower
Even when our enemies stare and glower

In our weakest moments we kneel in prayer
Knowing His loving blessings are always near
Hearing the words that we need to hear
Living for and in love and never in dark fear
