Once, as seen above, even the heroes of the Left in the United States believed in Free Speech for all not just themselves.  This was the Left that I admired.  I once was a long haired surfer, guitar player who helped co-found an environmental group that even ultimately resulted in a marine sanctuary to protect a crucial part of our American coastline.  When I dared to say as many others have that if we fail to protect any of our inalienable rights we are acting to defeat all of them, I was suddenly declared by many to be a right wing conservative.

As time has gone on, I have found myself further and further forced into that mold by the actions of the Left such as the group of Left Wing attorney generals who formed a group to try to silence free speech and thought because they believe their views to be the only right views on a particular subject.  This is no more correct than many of the other groups that have formed, some acting in outright violence against a man duly elected our president under the rule of law that must be the crux of our nation or our nation means nothing.

If people do not like how the Constitution reads and what it protects, there is an amendment process.  Rioting in the streets is not the answer.  It is lawlessness and an assertion that only the rioters’ opinions matter.  In many instances, those rioting do not even have a clue about the outcome of what they believe they are rioting for.  It is just mindless anger spurred on by a man whose various political groups have wracked havoc in other nations of the world as well.  It is a very sad and dangerous state of affairs when those who believe they are anti-Fascists are acting exactly like Fascists simply because they disagree with the voters of this nation.  Maybe they should take a moment and review the facts and then the history of those who have come before them and see that a course correction is needed before it is too late.
