Based on this morning’s sermon at House of Prayer which centered on Galatians 6:7-10:

“7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.“
Living Abundance by Michael Romani Working hard to do my best In His Word, finding my rest Seeking out the best I can Doing what i can as a man Splashed into the deep end On that you can depend Exploring the depths of life Willing to take on any strife Finding my way in abundance Dancing life as the Lord's dance Finding my way in full definition Not settling for a lesser rendition Trusting God so completely Darkness will not defeat me Putting my life in God's hands Taking the yoke of his commands It's a day to day joyous journey That is taking me to my destiny Not so much about always overflowing But it's a lot about always growing Lived every moment in His living presence Feeling every second all the difference Tears have flown down my aging face Knowing full well this is my resting place I've found this one step at a time Deeper and deeper into the sublime There in the principle of repetition Keeping pace in a sacred dedication In my commitment to all I can be Finding my way through His Divinity What I plant, in time, I will reap What I hold onto, I will keep Sowing the seeds of goodness Weeding out all of the darkness Ridding myself of corruption Onward, upward to my destination It's all in the learning to plan Harvesting this new kind of man Delighting in the ways of light Taking me out of darkest night Keeping my desire in sight This is the way I keep me right Setting my goals of pure heart Is the doing the first of my part Then acting on these to make it true There I find my way to see it through Where my hopes are as with one Then God helps to find this done Learning to do right to be right Is the way to find sheerest delight In the path that I must walk I move beyond my sure talk Cultivating the methods and ways That bring about my better days My dear Lord takes me day by day To commit to that which I say Not giving up, finishing what I start Ripping the defeat out of my heart Finding my victory through perseverance Life's journey requires much endurance I've learned over and over one lesson In reality, it's perhaps the best one In this world, if it's going to be Then ultimately it is truly up to me To make myself my best I must do All things necessary to make these true (c) July 30, 2017 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
To me, it’s an interesting aside that my family credo under my real name is the war cry, “Fortitudine Vincit” which translates as He Conquers By Fortitude. I have also read it expressed as strength through perseverance. I think the latter is maybe the more peaceful way? Either way, it helped form a powerful connection in my soul with the sermon’s topic. I hope the verse and the poem encourage the souls of those who take the time to read this!
