House of Prayer - Listening In

Keeping His Love
by Michael Romani

She stands there, a daughter
Holding steadfast to the Father
Her hands set on her hips
His praise on her pleasant lips

She brings to me a blessing
That never leaves me guessing
In every way that she is living
In all the things, she's always giving

Giving her all in obeying His commands
To the best she can do and understands
And in doing this she lives and abides
Walking so closely with me by her side

There's an awesomeness in this walk
There is nobility in the things she talks
Keeping the commandments in obedience
She keeps these gently with expedience

She know this is just what it takes
And so she does fully and never fakes
It's not a legalistic kind of to do list
Filled with things most of us have missed

It is her way of juggling life around her
In beautiful, faithful reliance on the Father
I learn so much from her as she teaches
By her example and not so much speeches

Teaching me my weakness is God's strong
Holding my heart in hand even when I'm wrong
The moments spent with her show me grace
In all the love she wears on her gentle face

Her love shares His love along our journey
A living sanctification that she brings me
The secrets of her abiding are so ample
And show me how to rise by her example

Day by day in a sort of sacred hymn
She is a loving, beautiful pilgrim
Bringing closeness to the Holy Father
I am so blessed to love His faithful daughter
