Spring Thing Fling
by Michael Romani

Waking from the cold winter's snow
It's time for me to get into my flow
Blooming flowers across my stage
Painting the future across this page

Urging the urges that start to surge
Looking for the extravagances to emerge
Life is reborn in my contemplation
As I get on in my bright eyed fascination

I find myself flirting with so much beauty
After all, it's my God given duty
My warm happiness spreads on the breeze
Encouraging the butterflies and bees

It is time to get on with getting on
For soon enough I know that I'll be gone
There I go dancing in my joyous rains
Repeating each year's life bearing refrains
