Galatians 6:7-9New International Version (NIV)
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Reaping As We Sow by Michael Romani With grace that is always changeless The truth of God is the truth of sameness As consistent in the message that He gives As we strive to be in how it is that we live Whether deliberate or not, our every thought Chosen or not, by accident or purposefully sought Shapes us into what it is that we will become The parts of our parts are the whole of our very sum We know that we're always reaping what we sow Walking our walks, talking our talk as we grow Striving to remove the negative by God's purpose Focusing on the good and noble is what we propose Putting aside procrastination to reach our destination As doers of the word not just listening with fascination But taking the steps to be who we are meant to be The living embodiment of our Father's blessed divinity We have only so much control but that which we do We should keep these responsibilities in our view Thinking right, talking right and building others up This is how we best reach that Holy winner's cup This then is the juncture of living to do or to die Having the tools made ready for us we know why We move forward leaving the past far behind Keeping our eyes on the prize and with goal line in mind Once we've confessed our sins and repented to conform We must lock in step into our new kind of living form Putting our guilt into the past knowing it has no residency Forgetting it not but doing what it is we ought as a blessing Hanging in and moving on to put our talents into steady play Living between the sowing and reaping keeping on it every day And when we fail and hit life's brick walls, we must recall That we know that we must keep pushing on through it all God is so good in how he reaches out to help us from above Teaching us to love and help each other, loving one another We should all join in a prayer of togetherness becoming as one Encouraging each other as we know this has only just begun (c) September 10, 2017 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
