Sage advice from a sage.  Too often people choose to do either one or the other.  Even more often we struggle hard as we possibly can on one sort of adversity or another and only eventually when all else fails do we pray.

Oddly enough, I have found that my best and most hard won battles begin on my knees – in prayer.  Then I work as hard as I can at finding and implementing what I can having prayed to the Lord for guidance.  At the end, I find myself gratefully praying in thankfulness to our great and redeeming God.

When I saw this quote attached to a newsletter that I received this morning, I knew this would be my thought for the day quote.  It’s interesting to me that something so simple can be so hard.  Or, at least it is for me.  By this, I mean that part where you know you’ve done all you can and all you have left is turning something over to God.  And sometimes the opposite, right?  We find ourselves in prayer and ignore all the little and sometimes huge hints God gives us as to what we should do differently to get His better results.

I suppose the trick is to be continually mindful as to which circumstance we find ourselves in.  Having done so, all we really have left is to let go and let God.  My prayer today is that all of you readers out there and us too have a very blessed and productive day.  As Ally says sometimes as I get myself in some new jam… “See you all on the other side!”  Okay, she’s more specific and talking about me .. usually.  But, I think you get the point.
