Life's Loving Song

From the beginning 
Through the end
You're truly winning
When God is your friend
Living life with grace
Smiling at the chase
That brings us together
In our lasting forever

There in our narrative
Is the grand imperative
To lean on the Lord
Wearing His word 
As our shield 
With this we weld
Our trust in Him
Never on our own whim

We keep our paths straight
Right through the narrow gate
Forsaking the evil that arrives
As we grow and we thrive
With God's graceful plan
For every woman and every man
It's not a simplistic accident
But a matter of the provident

Purchased from our sins
Over and over again and again
Revealed in our recalling
Raised up when we're falling
Each of us has our part
If only we'd heed God in our heart
Deliberate in our solemn choice
Listening steady to God's own voice

It's not all that demanding
To trust in God in all our understanding
It's strictly a matter of integrity
Keeping to goodness and nobility
Walked lock step and in confidence
That each step is by Providence
Shunning the evil in our own eyes
Ignoring the idols we might idolize

It is the truth of guiding light
Shining out into our dark night
It's the steadfastness of the good
When things go just as they should
Never let down in doing what we must
Living our life's song in loving trust

it's there in life's complex immensity
Throwing down in it's fiery intensity
Graciously, we find our feet in dignity
From the beginning to our infinity
Learning that the things that truly last
Are found when we stay steadfast

There before we are, He sets out provision
Seeing the big picture with precision
Mapped out with His blessed foresight
If we follow Him, we'll always be put right
With every curved and problematic turn
He knows and teaches all we need to learn
Putting us on our right path of the cross road
And carrying the weight of our full load

I will always trust In Him with all of my being
No matter what it is that I think that I seeing
Relying on His wisdom far more than my own
His love pours out refreshing my every bone
This too can be the path for you to follow
Instead of being carried by the ebb and flow
Instead rest in God's ways, steadfast and true
This is the path of righteousness for me and you
