Playing out this wonderful life with you
It’s the best thing that I could ever do
Keeping focused on you and my bliss
It’s the best of love, peace and happiness
Some may say this is California Dreamin’
If it leaves you laughing and screamin’
I wouldn’t have it any other sort of way
You are my dose of sunshine in my every day
Who would have believed you came from poetry
Some might think that just metaphoric imagery
But when I looked up from what I was reading
In an instant I knew what I was needing
It is a lifetime spent loving and laughing with you
Isn’t it interesting what Walt Whitman can do?
From a poem of his, I met my dream girl
