Tarot Woman

Deadman's Island - Fortune Telling

Tarot Woman
by Michael Romani

The caster of cards
Learns to read
Echoes of time
Are heard when listening hard
From the soul, she bleeds
As a victim of her own crimes

Something so lethal
Permeates her beauty
The paths are never equal
In her disregard for duty
The witch romances the devil
Swung upon a level

An old crone teaches her ways
Like that of a rabbit broken
Flayed alive in her end of days
Dangerous truth is spoken
Eyes scream their silent defiance
Something wicked speaks into the silence

        ...Legion calls her name
