Who are they to think they’re more than special
Judging others for beauty on the totally superficial
Painted faces, graceful walks and slender lines
Are not as important as beautiful souls and minds
Though not necessarily exclusive nor elusive
And while a man like me doesn’t want to be intrusive
The truth is that the beauty that shines the brightest
Comes from within no matter what the sight is
Until mankind learns this to the depths of our souls
We’ll continue to play out our almost meaningless roles
Never seeing each other as our Father, God, does
And that’s the truth as it is and always was
That, my dear, is how I know that I’ll always define us
By truth that is, will be and always was
