“Remember, we all stumble, every one of us. That’s why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand.” – Emily Kimbrough, author and broadcaster (23 Oct 1899-1989)

Hard to argue against the notion that we all need a hand to hold onto. It only makes sense. What needs to be added is that it’s usually best to hold onto someone’s hand when they’ve shown themselves to be reliable, loving, nurturing and sincerely want to be the one holding your hand. I guess that all goes without saying as well. Yet, too often, we forget this and try to hold on the hand of someone we maybe ought to let go of because they are toxic and otherwise harmful.
