This Then Is Alaska

Winter Flakes - Windswept Lighthouse In the Snow

This Then Is Alaska
by Michael Romani

America's last frontier
Half a million square miles
Wilderness to explore there
A land filled with as many smiles

Where there's one thing serious
The seasons run fast and furious
Opportunities are often fleeting
Where beauty brings its own greeting

Survival requires making the most
And never giving up the ghost
Lady Luck might bring you a jack pot
Played wrong and you lose the whole lot

As it has been since days of old
This land belongs to the bold
It's not necessarily about latitude
But is all about your attitude

... This then is Alaska!
