Time Spent With the Harvard Classics – Halloween – Robert Burns

In 1785, Robert Burns wrote a poem for Halloween.  It is included within the the Kilmarnock volume.  At 28 stanzas, it is one of Burns’ longer poems and mixes Scots with English.  It was written in response to the 1780 poem for Halloween written by John Mayne, from Dumfries, Scotland.
