She looked at me and told me it was obvious
That the answers I seek can be a little dubious
She didn’t want to seem call me oblivious
She’s kind that way and I’m not impervious
But the answers I needed were no more in books
Than her beauty was simply in her fair looks
Imagine the disappointment that answers found
Were only sufficient to chase around and around
But then she smiled and held out her soft hand
And for the love of God .. and her… I did understand
That the answer that was surely mostly needed
Was what her eyes smiled and quietly pleaded
Side by side and always in my dubious heart
She has been my answer and love from our start
