A lot has been made about the proclamations by George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. This attention is a good maybe even a great thing. But, let’s never forget the thanksgiving proclamations in Jamestown, Plymouth Rock, and several founding fathers such as Samuel Adams – the “Father of the American Revolution”.
