However naturally gifted a person is, these skills and abilities can always use a little pruning and sculpting to bring out the very best.  Constructive criticism is our friend.  Effective coaching is our ally.  A word to the wise should be heeded.  All of these more or less clichés became clichés because of the deep truth that is in each.
