Life can be so hard that at times its hard to speak
You search for beauty but it’s hard to see through the pique
And you know, I really don’t want to seem over eager
Because I know life comes hard and fast; sometimes meager
But there it is, a beautiful world, wherever you turn
Oh sure, sometimes it seems like a blur and maybe a slow burn
But look around and I’m sure if you only give it a chance
You will maybe find a lot of beauty and maybe a little romance
It is all about the not so subtle need of making vital choices
Lifting hands in prayer and listening to all the right voices
If you only give yourself that chance in each moment
There’s no telling what hopefulness might just foment
Maybe a meager little bit of sought for sanctuary
Believe me that I get that reaching peace is more than necessary
