Himalayan Journey

Far from the bustling cities of China
Is a tale of life in all of its glory
The spirits are lifted on the backs of cranes
In the springtime of this magical story

Mountains hold their own dreamscape
As snow leopards are the top of their game
A territorial encounter between two
As each stakes out their necessary claim

Submission retains the supremacy for now
As eyes of low guard the next generation
An unstated station keeps life's mission
In a legacy worthy of sweet veneration

The golden monkeys offer their mischief
As an unappreciated sibling seeks attention
Lost places given up to innocent new faces
And becomes the cause of troubling innovation

While across to the mountain's other side
The great panda meditates and eats
In almost solitary lives lived in bamboo
Where each journey begins as the baby bleats

On and on, China's living are revered
Floating across the rocky playground
As families raise their families endeared
Out in the wilderness where life's circle is found

So it is and shall it ever be
As far as the eyes of China can see
Taking life to give life is the plan
Lived out here by both beast and man
