Do you remember? Do you recall?
The time at the grasshopper’s ball
It was worth a chirp to entertain
But, to think of it as more was just in vain
Winters are perfect for the coldhearted
With a pervasive silence for the departed
The falling snow and sheets of ice
Go to remind me of when I thought you nice
I worked and worked to hopefully get us gain
Only to find it was all in vain
Wounds reopened still spill blood
I find as I wallow into the mud
You sent a letter you hoped would explain
And what I read was coldhearted and plain
