In A Field of Waco Lilies

Brand New Colony - Water Lilly

In A Field of Waco Lilies
by Michael Romani

In this world filled with wonders
There are time of profound blunders
Like putting faith in hucksters of lost souls
Who sell joy through lies that make minds blow
And a prolonged gunfight is drawn out
Until all that's left is a pile of doubt

The dual poles of religion and Hollywood
Seldom results in a result that is good
But, in these days of the lonely and disaffected
When not all of the logical dots get connected
Faith is still not met by praying for apocalypse
Nor from the utterances from a charlatan's lips

Mockery can be rebranded as glimpses of insight
Turning a smile of serenity into the blackest night
This is the cause and effect of a cheap thug's discourse
As the ATF lines up in its own deadly show of force
It seems "God spoke" to him, in his snarled humiliation
But the only thing the seven seals revealed was his depravation
