I said that I want to make my life better

So tired and starting to hate being a go getter

I had to smile at her innocent reply

The answer you  see, she said, is to simplify

Oh, I don’t know I said

With a million things to do running through my head

That’s when she smiled at me

Offering her thoughts up very simply

Maybe that’s when she reached out and had me

All I know is that I surrendered completely

Now, I have very little to ever regret

Most of all of it, I very happily forget

Enjoying a life lived beside a bank of trees

Toes in the sand and my hair full of breeze
