I had a premonition that things would not be going well
It was not so much that anyone had all that much to tell
After all dead men don’t talk much being as they’re dead
But with a single look around I knew angels would fear to tread
This place that we were now walking fearfully through
Was very well a place that might just be the end of me and you
Oh, I knew we would fight with everything we had
But, couldn’t help to see that the end might be very sad
We promised each other to have each other’s back
Then we fought hard until our sight faded into black
Taken up into the mist of that tunnel’s white light
We knew we had done our best but didn’t get it right
The tales we know that will one day be shared and told
Will tell of the day we bravely died in the days of old
