Stillness In Fear

Fear can at times be useful 
But most times it's not
It's better to blissful
Blessed with what we got

No need to feel overwhelm
With our Father at the helm
God is there to give us peace
In the stillness, He does release

We need not lose our lives to fear
Though anxious with all things there
God desires our lives to be great
Trusting in Him, that is our fate

Fear is little more than distortion
Life lived out of it's rightful portion
In a negation of faith unneeded
Clearly, the word of God unheeded

God takes care of the birds in the field
Holding whole with nothing to yield 
Concerned with least little feather
Our Father loves us all the better

We are of the sacred royal priesthood
Because of this, it should be understood
That as God's children, we are made
To be as fearless as we've prayed

Gently, I listen as God scolds me
Admonishing me to live boldly
And I put my trust in Him once again
As always, though I slip now and then
