Out there on that shameful toxic corner
So many stand around being mourners
Always out to seek their wanted for own
Or having lost it, they turn their hearts to stone
The things that make us feel good maybe invincible
Are like the wind in that they are often invisible
So, if you ask me what I think I might serve
It’s something better than I might deserve
To live with honor doing the necessary
For those I love and not being contrary
Rather to face adversity with a smile
Defending the walk of that endless mile
Love, in its deepest meaning, is so much more
Than the eros that comes up somehow poor
