A rational man realizes more than a few things
Rely on the logic that a mind has and brings
Such as the fact that science does not rest on consensus
But on looking straight at the facts that convince us
What cannot be proven through empirical observation
Is something that we should openly state as speculation
More than a grain of salt must given to the stern and dire warning
That we allegedly live in an age filed with danger from global warming
Concealed from the public discussion is the reliance on skewed data
That when revealed the fear mongers treat as though pro rata
Today it is global climate change; in the 70s it was a pending age of ice
Over and over theories have come and gone and proven bad advice
And yet the propaganda rolls on and on as though we’ve not seen different
Someone please tell me when Chicken Little fear became the new reverent?
