Na/GloPoWriMo Day 15’s challenge is to attempt to take the perspective of a bad or evil character from a positive spin.  I’ve never really thought of something like that as a subject for a poem.  But, hey, why not, right?  So how about the Devil from his eyes and how he looks out for his minions.  Always the encourager for them to be their very best inner demon and looking out for their hell-being…

Dental Plan

You can call me Luke, Luce or Lucifer
Whatever you like, whichever you prefer
I only want us to be the very best
It's in doing evil I encourage you to invest

Oh sure, there are times it's only down in Hell
But, stop and why don't you rest here a spell
You see, they say it's just my foolish pride
But, I think.. man has been given a free ride

Why should you minions live to serve man
Besides, I offer the very best dental plan
Shiny new pitchforks for one and all
And your own chance to shriek at the wailing wall

You say you feel cast out and maybe cast down?
Well this is one hell of a home we can all own
Never again will you feel forced to do things
You don't like.. no indeed, power is what evil brings
