It’s a daily sort of hectic struggle

In the midst of this half mast jungle

Trying to keep our world true and real

In a place that devalues the think of our feel

At the risk of sounding a bit eccentric

I am going insist on remaining authentic

No matter how much or how deep it cuts

Or how my SUV life gets stuck in the ruts

This is who I am and who I will always be

Insisting on as much truth as mystery

We might be overshadowed by Hollywood

With its lack of morality and failure to do good

But as for me, I will do everything I can

To live my life righteously as an honest man
