Though I would be among the first to argue
That earth day should be an everyday view
I would also be among the first to encourage
others to partake of the beauty with courage
Courage enough to stand for what is right
And in so doing protect every precious sight
All of the plants and animals that live here
Are those that belong and we should gather near
Gathered into the safety of our loving arms
Safe from our accidental and intentional harms
Once was a time when we feared beasts back then
Until it turned out the worse beasts had faces of men
And now we must preserve what is left of paradise
So that our children’s children have things just as nice
