Life is a journey with twisted turns and not a test
Still there are lessons to learn by walking its forest
Life is not a race but growth that forms slowly
The best of which happens almost incrementally
In hoping for life, it is best to have a strong foundation
To strive for anything less is a gravely missed estimation
Disturbance is not bad but, in fact, always needed
It carries with it valuable lessons that must be heeded
What can’t be gotten over, must be grown around
Or, at least, that’s a great truth that I have always found
In time, even the deepest wounds usually mend
And in all of this travel, it is most best with a friend
It is in doing so that we most best meet our stride
Matching the pace of those whom we wish at our side
