My soul’s compass sees the distant way
Of things happening beyond today
My metamorphosis begins at loss
On the murky waters on which I toss
Over the crest of the forbidden wave
I find myself in the same watery grave
Bouncing back like my heart’s echo
As I disappear to where I do not know
Into the belly of the great blue whale
My journey begins a hero’s mystic tale
Replacing sight for things unseen
Letting go to finally find my inner being
The rhythms and refrains of the blue whale’s song
Mark the pocket in which my soul belongs
