Sadly, WordPress has stopped posting a Daily Prompt.  Shocking as that is, life goes on.  A blogging friend, Scot Andrew Bailey, in an intelligent protest against WordPress just dumping a feature that many of really liked is doing his own prompts now using some sort of system that uses old WordPress prompts.  I will alternate between using his and a friend’s from Second Life.  Today’s word from Mr. Bailey is Deter.

Sometimes life really hands us a tricky one

We start thinking that perhaps we’re undone

But, these momentary bumps in the road

Are only challenges waiting to as easily unfold

The test of life so often is found what might deter

And by this I know that you know what I refer

There are always risks and always determination

That gets us through like inspirational germination

From seeds of thoughts that we know might prevail

Through all of life blips and unexpected travails

So when life packs a punch that leaves you in doubt

Even when it causes you to shift and stumble about

I say that we just grit up, drinking from that winning cup

Half the battle is won just by being the ones who show up
