A tear drop is painted on the wall
It’s the many details behind the fall
Telling its secrets to all who will see
Of hope lost and grief in travesty
Large or small, it’s the size of an ocean
A capsule of self contained emotion
That no ship can sail across
Without sustaining its great loss
How does one get past something like this
My head hurts worse than heart in what I miss
Among these are the days I could lose on a wave
Instead of wondering if I will end up in my grave
Before I hold my little girls in my arms again
The overwhelming feelings send me reeling again
