The ice cream man is not sort of mathematician
But with all those flavors, he’s a sort of magician
One might say that a few shared licks are a dividend
As a payment in kind when shared with a good friend
Though others may say that ice cream should not be divided
I am not absolutely sure that I’ve really decided
History shows that I’ve never really had any true satisfaction
When given less than I want regardless of the fraction
Whatever the case when it comes to ice cream you cannot be late
Not if you want the truest satisfaction in your payment date
If you wait too late, the value of the ice cream may become liquidated
Oh, if only, there was a way to keep this somehow refrigerated
Instead, we have to lick it up, right on the spot
As we stand here on the sidewalk, melting, because it’s sizzling hot
