Man’s fallen state has led us to many mistakes that take us far from the nature way we were meant to be like. Because of this, many hear the call of sin like a siren’s song. It’s been that way since the Garden of Eden…
Sin's Darkfold by Michael Romani Oh, woeful it is for we, humanity That despite our prideful vanity We are caught in sin's dark fold While like puppets we are led and we are told Busily thinking this is in some way and somehow Our betterment taking us from once then into now That somehow this makes us more happier and free To follow the dark ways of our greatest adversary We have fallen from the dream that was Eden's glory And we dreamers cannot remember the story Lost plot lines turned into emotional landmines Taking care to be weary of the silent mimes Who insist that they see no evil, hear no evil And don't even mildly protest least they speak evil But when the good fail to act at all, evil prevails So it is in our morality plays and cautionary tales he time has come to dream again and arise Rubbing the sleep from our chronically tired eyes Unafraid to embrace the fantastic of our lives Slicing through all the hazy layers with our knives Spreading thin the metaphors that dig deep Down by the slipstreams where even willows weep For these things are the base of forgotten dreams Marking them down as we live out our best it seems (c) August 4, 2018 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
