The end of a long day fishing has finally arrived

As the captain thinks on how he has survived

Always eking a humble living from the sea

Respecting the ocean with all of its majesty

Spotting the distant lighthouse on the friendly shore

He thinks of home, love and all that he does this for

His house turned into a home by his loving wife

His family that she tends and puts above strife

As he looks back on his life he knows he is so very blessed

And smiles to himself at having never second guessed

And thanks her in his heart for never having to do so

He has been entranced by her from the moment of hello

The lighthouse spotted there on that island shore

Speaks to him of love, life and he loves her all the more
