Finding the Extraordinary

Love burns like a blazing white light
Bringing soul shine into my night
The hallelujah in your bright eyes
Offers it's brilliant sense of surprise

Lifted up in worship of the above
Giving me your sweet example of love
These are the dreams so extraordinary
That give me the worth of living ordinary

All these day to day moments in time
Are the miracles truly sublime
These pass unnoticed by too many
But should be the focus of plenty

It's in these moments that we find
The best of life once it's behind
If only we had somehow known 
All the blessings we had been shown

Success follows much perspiration
Perspiration follows Godly inspiration
And in seasons of our preparation
We take the steps leading to our destination

We are placed by God into our life
In times of peace and even strife
Small and insignificant as it can be
We strive to improve our ordinary

Never realizing we are planting seeds
As our daily grinds meet our needs
Paying the bills and marking time
These all lead to things so sublime

God sees our faithfulness in all of this
Not a step taken does He ever miss
Let's live our lives out faithfully
As we serve God, nation and family

For all of us who live under His name
Are called to live lives without blame
In filling ourselves with His great power
Unfolding this at its needed hour
