Restore My Soul

The Lord restores my soul
Keeping it all in control
Like a shepherd to his sheep
All in peace, He keeps

Tending to us as a flock
Keeping us steady like a rock
We learn to stand together
And in so doing make it better

A shepherd leads His sheep
From the front to keep
Us safe from earthly harm
Calmly surveying without alarm

As we each experience tribulation
Wondering about our own contribution
To all the many troubles we see
As Satan sometimes get the best of you and me

He feeds, keeps us safe and lives to protect
Always attentive and nurturing without neglect
Keeping us served with a heavenly feast
Each of us, from greatest to the least

Entrusting our lives to His great care
Knowing that our shepherd is always there
Satisfying our hunger in every way right
From the break of morn into the night
